WHAT META TAG?

META TAGS are snippets of text that describe a page’s content; the meta tags don’t appear on the page itself, but only in the page’s source code. Meta tags are essentially little content descriptors that help tell search engines what a web page is about. (Wordstream.com, 2019)

There are different kind of meta tags. i am going to use one famous website to show you different meta tags and the website will be Samsung(their home page).(https://www.samsung.com/uk/smartphones/?product1=sm-a226bzaueua&product2=sm-f711bzkfeua&product3=)

• Meta keyboard Attribute: a list of keywords you consider relevant to the concerned page.(https://www.wordstream.com/meta-tags)

 

• Meta Description Attribute: a quick explanation of the page.(https://www.wordstream.com/meta-tags)
